There are essentially four styles of meditation - Ignatian, Franciscan, Thomistic, and Augustinian, each with a direct correlation to your temperament. But while we explore the different ways of meditation, the point is made that once learned, many people can use most if not all four styles of meditation to their advantage, especially using the framework of the Benedictine Lectio Divina. You've been meditating all your life, and your elementary school teachers got after you for doing it, but they called it "daydreaming." Fr. Price teaches how to take this and use it for Bible study and other spiritual gain. This workshop is done well in a series of lectures spread out either through 4 weeks with a meeting each week, or in a Saturday silent retreat with a training session earlier in the week, such as Friday evening.
